Abu Dhabi, January 22, 2011: In line with its efforts to positively contribute to its local community, The Higher Cooperation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp) organized a blood donation drive in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Central Blood Bank at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The CSR campaign reflects ZonesCorp’s belief in enhancing the participation of industrial sector employees in social activities that benefit the UAE society.
The drive took place over two days from 18-19 January 2012 and targeted all ZonesCorp employees, in addition to all employees working within the organization’s different zones.
Commenting on the initiative, HE Mohamed Hasan Al Qamzi said: “ZonesCorp continuously works to join efforts with various local entities to reiterate its commitment to our society. We have organized this blood donation campaign in coordination with Abu Dhabi Central Blood Bank and have invited all those who wish to partake in this effort to participate, as we truly believe in the importance of blood donation to the community.”
The drive took place at ZonesCorp’s main headquarters, where a fully-equipped mobile blood bank was set up. A team of experts and doctors were present to conduct the necessary medical tests on all individuals who wished to donate.
