Abu Dhabi, March 27, 2012: The annual Abu Dhabi International Book Fair [ADIBF] 2012 opens its doors today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre [ADNEC]. Being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the book fair will feature over 200 events spanning across business, culture, and children and cooking. It brings together over 900 exhibitors from 54 countries, showcasing over half a million titles in 33 different languages.
To be held across Halls 9 to 12, the ADIBF 2012 promises to be one of the biggest and best book exhibitions in the region. In a unique first of its kind, the Abu Dhabi book fair has taken its pride of place as the Green Fair, thanks to its eco-friendly initiatives. All ADIBF marketing collaterals, including brochures and folders, have been printed on special recycled paper. In addition, all giveaway items for the book fair are being produced from recycled paper, fabric and biodegradable material, thus leading the way towards a conscientious and eco-friendly fair.

Trade visitors to the ADIBF have the option of online registration and payment through its interactive website www.adbookfair.com,. The six day ADIBF will operate daily from 9am to 10pm every day, except for Friday when it will be open from 4pm to 10pm.
