Specialists In Providing Educational Excellence To Partner With Bett Middle East 2011

Dubai-UAE: 28 September, 2011 – Emap Connect today announced a collection of key names in education will participate as Knowledge Partners for BETT Middle East 2011. The list includes GEMS Education, The Information Technology Association of Jordan, CfBT Education Trust, Jordan Education Initiative (JEI), Mosaica Education Inc. and Beaconhouse.

Held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the second edition of BETT Middle East will take place from 25 – 26 October 2011, and will be co-located with Building Future Education MENA.

Haif Bannayan, Chief Executive Officer, Jordan Education Initiative, said: “As a BETT knowledge partner, the Jordan Education Initiative participated in the first BETT Middle East exhibition in Abu Dhabi last year and touched the successful impact that has been added to the education sector in the Arab region by introducing the latest technology tools in the world. And for the second year, we are very delighted to return to BETT Middle East 2011 as a knowledge partner and identify the positive growth in the Jordanian educational sector year after year.”

Helen Kavanagh, Regional Vice President, Mosaica, said: “Mosaica relishes the chance to embrace new opportunities and share its wealth of experience and expertise with others through the BETT partnership.  We hope to deepen existing relationships and form new ones with likeminded educators who understand the great possibilities afforded by technological advancements. Learning through the 21st century will evolve to look little like that of the previous 50 years. We, at Mosaica, are ready to embrace that change and wish to share our expertise and enthusiasm with others for the betterment of global education and international affairs.”

Tina Blackaby, Regional Director, Beaconhouse MENA, said: “Beaconhouse considers being part of the BETT Middle East show as an important contribution to our organisations quest for current and dynamic knowledge in the field of ICT. Technology pervades all areas of the curriculum. We all live in a technological society and we must all be educated for it. We aim to give all our students the skills they need to function successfully in the world in which they live.”

The Middle East region has invested heavily into the education industry. Last year, the Ministry of Education in the UAE announced 50 initiatives to be implemented from 2010 to 2020 to enhance a student’s educational journey and ensure prosperity in the UAE for future generations.

Paul Dunne, Managing Director, Emap Connect, said: “I am delighted to work with our expanding network of BETT Middle East Knowledge Partners. The organisations involved all bring deep experience of improving schools and education systems around the world and within the MENA region specifically. The support and advice of our partners will be crucial as we work to ensure that BETT Middle East become firmly established as the indispensable meeting place for anyone interested in how to leverage the potential of ICT to improving learning, teaching and the efficiency of education systems across the Middle East.”

In addition to having several distinguished names in education partner with BETT Middle East, the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) supports the event, emphasizing the need for advancement in teaching methods and technology and its direct correlation to the prosperity of both the UAE and the Middle East region.

BETT Middle East 2011 will also host the Education Leaders @ BETT Middle East and Higher Education ICT Forum, over two days of insightful case studies and robust discussions as leading players in MENA region education systems learn from each other’s successful technology deployment strategies. Delegates will also gain from exclusive, time-saving exhibition tours and access to a networking area.

A key feature of BETT Middle East 2011 is the Learn Live Programme, where attendees can meet learners and teachers and understand the latest in modern learning and teaching techniques, providing insightful tips and lesson ideas for immediate use in classrooms.
