Dubai, United Arab Emirates – On the 12th and 13th October, unique creations from budding, local designers’ latest collections will take centre stage at Mall of the Emirates’ trending-setting World of Fashion event.
Providing a platform to showcase impressive, regional talents, Designers of the Future in association with Audi – which takes place on the 12th – will feature an exhibition of 10 of the UAE’s best designers. Designers will include, Rafia Helal Bin Drai – founder of fashion brand Mauzan, who was born and raised in Al Ain and has turned the Abaya into an elegant, comfortable and beautiful garment that modern women can wear with grace and style.
Amira Haroon Sheikh – a Dubai-based designer, who has successfully launched a ready-to-wear label for women which is currently retailing through multiple locations in the Middle East – will also be featured on the 12th, as well as up-and coming fashion labels and designers such as Aiisha Ramadan, DAS, At a Glance, KAGE, Noon by Noor, Dinz and Michael Cinco.
On Thursday, 13th October, Arabian Nights will showcase the exquisite designs of Sumayyah Al Suwaidi, an Abu Dhabi-based designer who is definitely one to watch! In her first-ever catwalk show, Sumayyah will feature garments from her SEEN collection, and although one of the youngest homegrown fashion lines in the UAE, the collection has already launched three lines and is soon to launch a fourth. Combining her love for art and fashion, Sumayyah has created one-of-a-kind pieces which all are about femininity, chicness, and standing out from the crowd.
