His Excellency Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim Opens Black Hat Abu Dhabi

Keynote on Cyber Security and Cyber Threats in a Changing World to Drive this Year's Agenda

His Excellency Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), opened Black Hat Abu Dhabi's Briefings sessions today. Black Hat Abu Dhabi concluded its training sessions yesterday with the briefings running over the next two days at the Emirates Palace.

A highlight of the briefings is the keynote address by General Michael Hayden, United States Air Force (USAF), Retired, former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Deputy Director of the National Security Agency (NSA). The two-day briefing sessions offer an opportunity for industry experts to share their experience and knowledge with other professionals.

His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of the TRA commented "The aim is to educate professionals in the IT industry and to develop the security infrastructure to keep abreast of worldwide best practice in combating these issues. We are presenting the world's best speakers to do this."

The TRA represented by the UAE Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT), in cooperation with Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR) have partnered with UBM Middle East for the second year in a row. Black Hat Abu Dhabi runs from 12 - 15 December 2011 in Emirates Palace.
