The wonderful chef, Gérard, has brought to the Middle East the famous Tarte Tropézienne from Saint-Tropez. This dessert is not to be missed; it takes its name from Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera, where it is said to have originated in the mid 1940s and popularized in the 60s when St. Tropez became a tourist paradise. A modern recipe of the Tarte Tropézienne includes strawberries and raspberries in the pastry cream, which composes the cake. Whether the traditional recipe or the modern one, Tropéziennes are amidst the greatest French desserts!
