Ernst & Young Sponsors Artist Marie-Josée Primeau


Abu Dhabi, 16 November 2011: Ernst & Young today announced its sponsorship of UAE resident and Canadian artist, Marie-Josée Primeau, the signature artist at the Abu Dhabi Art Fair 2011.

Primeau is an established artist and painter and actively exhibits at art fairs and other forums worldwide. Her works of art and paintings are owned by royals, government entities, major corporations and private collectors internationally. Within a short span of five years in the UAE, she has built a strong following for her work among the local art community and connoisseurs.

The art fair runs from 16-19 November in the Saadiyat Cultural District and will showcase the works of Marie-Josée which focus on the ‘great and good’ of the UAE. Through their support for the exhibition, Ernst & Young is keen to demonstrate the importance of the people theme which Marie-Josée uses as her main inspiration. This will be Ernst & Young’s first collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Art Fair.

Marie-Josée, is a self-taught artist, born in Montreal, Canada who studied on a scholarship at Los Angeles University. Her passion for the Middle East led her to take on the position of Chairman of the Canadian Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates. A dedicated athlete, Primeau has successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro three times dedicating her escapades to charity fund raising events for Africa. She has also participated in several marathons including The Great Wall of China. She has also authored the book “JUMP!” in the United Arab Emirates.
