About NBQ (The National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain psc)
NBQ (The National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain psc) was established in 1982 by the Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, the late H.H.Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmed Al Moalla. The Bank’s trade name was changed from The National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain psc to NBQ in 2005 and the Bank re-launched itself with the new corporate identity. The local government of Umm Al Qaiwain is the largest shareholder and promoter of the Bank.
The Branch and Electronic banking unit network comprises of twenty-five outlets spread across the seven Emirates. Through these outlets the Bank offers a wide array of products and services for both Retail and Wholesale customers. These products and services range from specialized children savings schemes through to highly specialized Trade and Treasury Services.
About Haytham
Haytham Sultan Al Ali is a 22 year old Emirati racing driver from Umm Al Quwain. By day Haytham works as a UAE Immigration Officer alongside this he is studying part time for his Bachelor degree at Jazeera University in Dubai. He maintains a busy schedule of fitness and training for his career in motorsports. Haytham is managed by XSport Motorsport Management (www.xsport.ae) company based in UAE.
Haytham is active in Karting championships both in UAE and Europe and regularly represents his country at this level. He is also racing a single-seater series in the UAE Formula Gulf Championship organised by Gulf Sport Racing.
Haytham is also actively involved in Road Safety campaigns where he uses his motorsport racing as a tool to educate children and young drivers about speed and accident risk. As an excellent UAE Road Safety Ambassador he encourages young people to visit the race tracks in UAE to develop their skills in motorsports.
About Formula Gulf Championship
Formula Gulf 1000 (www.FG1000.net) is a one-make single-seater championship aimed at Arabian Gulf based young racing drivers and karters who wish to graduate to cars. Featuring identical slicks and wings ‘Formula’ racing cars maintained and run by GulfSport Racing (www.gulf-sport.com), FG1000 will focus on the development of driving skills, improvement of fitness and providing media skills required at the highest levels of motor racing. Competitors will be trained by some of the industry’s most experienced driver coaches. Drivers will have three official tests before competing in 16 races over 8 events at the Yas Marina and Dubai Autodrome circuits.
The overall winner of the 2011/12 FG1000 Championship will win a scholarship to compete in Formula Renault BARC in the UK, where their training and race experience will ensure that a second championship win is entirely feasible.
