DUBAI, April 8, 2010/PRNewswire/ -- Media are invited to join leaders in bridge engineering at the prestigious Bridges Middle East - Qatar Summit on 11 - 14 April 2010 at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha. Program will be opened by the event's chairman followed by a presentation by His Excellency Dr. Eng. Habib Zein Alabideen, Deputy Minister, Municipal and Rural Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In partnership with the Qatar-Bahrain Causeway Foundation, the Bridges Middle East - Qatar Summit will be held at the Ritz Carlton in Doha from 11-14 April 2010. The Doha Conference is in response to the overwhelming interest demonstrated at the Bridges Middle East Summit in Abu Dhabi last year.
The Qatar-Bahrain Causeway (QBC), a 40 kilometre-long road and rail carriageway, will provide a direct surface transportation link between Qatar and Bahrain, two diverse and complementary countries. The QBC is also poised to become the first international link in a Middle East (GCC) rail network.
This influential project will be discussed in detail in an exclusive keynote presentation at Bridges Middle East - Qatar, an important four-day event on the design, construction, operation and maintenance of next generation bridges.
With massive infrastructure development activities taking place in Qatar, this event will be a key venue to highlight potential opportunities for Bahrain's and Qatar's future development. Top industry leaders representing government/municipalities, industry projects, academia, private organisations and solution providers from across the globe will address current topics and challenges relevant to bridge planning, standards, construction and maintenance in the region.
An exhibition area will feature the latest innovative solutions in conventional and intermodal bridge design and construction. The event is already expected to attract over 200 attendees, nearly three times as many delegates as normally estimated.
Committed sponsors already include: Ekspan International, Arminox Gulf, MMFX Steel, Dillinger Middle East, SOILMEC, Valbruna Gulf, Industrial Maintenance International Qatar, Elite Road Supplies Company, QACS, Khalid Cement Industies Complex, Wireco Worldgroup, CCL Qatar, Unibeton Ready Mix, Isam Kabbani And Partners Co., Ulma Formworks, RMD Kwikform ME and many more.
