Uae Rugby Charges Gold’S Gym With National Teams Fitness

Dubai, UAE, October 25th, 2011: UAE Rugby has recently named Gold's Gym, part of the Al Ahli Holding Group, and the world's leading authority on health and fitness as UAE Rugby’s Official Gym Partner.

The four-year agreement will see the National 7’s and 15’s teams granted immediate use of the diverse facilities and amenities at various Gold’s Gyms throughout the UAE, and one that will see the Gold’s Gym logo positioned on players official playing and work-out kit.

“We are very proud to enter into this agreement with UAE Rugby. Aligning with this governing body dovetails perfectly into Gold’s Gyms principles and amplifies our commitment to local sports” said Mohamed Khammas, CEO Al Ahli Holding Group, owner of the Gold’s Gym franchise in UAE. “Strength and conditioning remains an integral component of any sportspersons programme and we are delighted we can work with UAE Rugby to develop and maintain each player’s fitness level”.

Through regular training at Gold’s Gyms players will be able to record their specific development and training programmes, and feed their ongoing statistics into a central database.

“We are very pleased with Gold’s Gym and Al Ahli Groups commitment to UAE Rugby and to the National Teams fitness needs” said Ian Bremner, UAE Rugby CEO. “Gold’s Gym’s exceptional facilities will offer each squad member a unique and dedicated training facility and this will no doubt make a significant contribution to our high performance goals”.

Gold’s Gym recently opened their state-of-the-art gymnasium in Business Village Deira with other Dubai and Abu Dhabi venues scheduled to open early in 2012. Gold’s Gym and Al Ahli Group recently announced an aggressive expansion plan of 26 gyms across the UAE.
