National Geographic Al Arabiya Has An “Eye On Earth”

Abu Dhabi, 11 December 2011: National Geographic Al Arabiya announced today its participation as a media partner at the Eye on Earth Abu Dhabi 2011 Summit.

The Eye on Earth Abu Dhabi 2011 Summit will be held from Dec 12th till Dec 15th, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

National Geographic Al Arabiya will be part of the exhibition area showcasing its photo exhibitions “Colours of the World”, featuring 32 National Geographic photographs from around the globe, and “Simply Beautiful”.   

Commenting on this participation, Mohammed Al Hammadi, Editor in Chief of National Geographic Al Arabiya, said: “We are honoured to be part of this summit in Abu Dhabi and showcase our commitment to environmental related issues and to our society. The National Geographic Al Arabiya photo exhibit is a wonderful example of the rich content we provide to inspire and educate our audience about our planet and our responsibility to protect it.”  

The Eye on Earth Abu Dhabi 2011 Summit will convene world leaders and experts in environmental and societal information,

The Summit will take place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, attracting speakers such as President Bill Clinton, Achim Steiner, UNEP Executive Director and Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations,   Prof. Jacqueline McGlade, Executive Director of the European Environment Agency as well National Geographic Researcher in residence Dr. Sylvia Earle.
