Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 21st November 2011:
In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the UAE this year, Montblanc is inviting residents of the UAE to pay written tribute to its ruling families in specially created commemorative guest books dedicated to the country’s rulers.
The leather-bound books, together with limited edition Montblanc writing instruments, will be on display until 2nd December in key locations around the UAE, with participants welcome to write a short message, or poem on this landmark occasion in the country’s history.
Joe Nahhas, Regional Brand Director for Montblanc explained: “As a company that values heritage and culture, Montblanc is proud to contribute to this historic celebration with an initiative that includes the written words of the people of the UAE. The art of writing, in whatever language, signifies knowledge, respect, and consideration, and nowhere is this more important than in the Middle East. These books serve as documents of history to be dedicated to the rulers of this unique nation.”
Montblanc commemorative guest books are available for signing in three key locations in Dubai: the Atrium at Emirates Towers, outside the Montblanc boutique in Dubai Mall and in the Montblanc boutique in Dubai Festival Centre. Guest books are also in place in the Abu Dhabi Mall and the Al Ain Mall.
A number of high profile personalities in the UAE, including political figures, business leaders, sports stars, authors and artists, will also be contributing their own messages of felicitation in the days running up to UAE National Day on 2nd December.
“The opportunity to mark the UAE’s 40th anniversary with an initiative that highlights the increasingly valuable craft of writing is one we did not hesitate to embrace. We hope that the people of the UAE will be as honoured as we are to be a real part of this important celebration,” added Nahhas.
