The Artist Hakam AlTaher has devoted his life to design dazzling works of Islamic arts. Among them was his fascination and resulting advances in glass art. He was a man obsessed with glass, its color, shape and texture; its ability to refocus light using Islamic Calligraphy. At his studio in Amman, Jordan, AlTaher experimented, always refused to accept second best. It’s his attitude and outlook that transfers to the real world. He keeps himself in a state in which he’s open to new ideas and new ways of thinking. Inspiration can come at any time, in any place, but one has to be receptive to it. The Koran is one of my main sources of inspiration as he believes there’s so much that is undiscovered and hidden in it.
Meet the Artist:
Hakam AlTaher was born in Nablus-Palestine on 03rd January 1954. Hakam AlTaher has a PhD degree from Aleppo- Syria in Architecture Engineering. He was a Doctor in Balqa Applied University, Jordan teaching & consulting for more than 25 years. Hakam AlTaher did many successful exhibitions in different countries like USA (Los Angeles), Chile (Santiago), Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan (Amman). Now we are inviting you to meet him here in Dubai.
