Abu Dhabi – 29th October 2011 – Three of Abu Dhabi’s leading aviation companies will be participating together for the first time at this year’s Dubai International Air Show to be held at Dubai Airport Expo on 13-17 November.  Collectively they will be showcasing their extensive range of products and services and will use the event to make some important strategic announcements.

Abu Dhabi Aviation, the largest commercial helicopter and fixed wing aircraft operator in the Middle East, is also a majority equity stakeholder in Royal Jet, the international luxury executive flight Services Company and Maximus Air Cargo, the Middle East’s leading all-cargo airline.

While each individual company is a segment leader in its own right, collectively the three organizations are working together in support of The Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, where aviation is identified among the key sectors expected to form the Emirate’s engines of economic growth and diversification.

Together they have already helped establish  Abu Dhabi ‘s reputation as one of the world’s top aviation hubs and their continued growth and success are testimony to the vision and foresight of the Abu Dhabi leadership under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

ADA is the largest commercial helicopter operator in the Middle East, operating a fleet of over 60 aircraft comprising helicopters and three fixed wing aircraft to provide a range of key specialised services, largely to the oil industry. “ADA has achieved an enviable level of operational excellence and service provision in the last 35 years, continuing to satisfy its core customers in the oil industry and diversifying into other disciplines,” said Nadir Al Hammadi, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Aviation.

“ADA has also continued to be industry leader in the helicopter training and maintenance services and we will be making significant announcements at the Dubai Air Show this year in this regard,” he added.

“We have set out an ambitious mid to long-term business and sales target under this plan,” said Shane O’Hare, President and CEO, Royal Jet. “A key goal of that plan is to significantly increase the size and flexibility of our fleet to 20 aircraft by 2015, further enhancing service excellence delivery and global reach.

Meanwhile, Maximus Air Cargo has embarked on an aggressive AED350 million expansion programme which has seen the delivery of the first of three new Airbus A300-600RP2F aircraft freighters in August.

“Our expansion programme which is anchored on the acquisition of three highly efficient converted aircraft freighters has been designed to facilitate our dual business model of cargo charter and ACMI lease solutions,” said Fathi Hilal Buhazza, President and CEO, Maximus Air Cargo. “It also represents a further endorsement of our growing international reputation as a leading provider of comprehensive air cargo services globally.

“ACMI agreements form a large part of Maximus Air Cargo’s broad range of aviation services,” he added, “and we see many future growth opportunities in this area.”
