November 22, 2011 - Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi held a one-day event entitled "Make a Difference Day” for the 11th year. The purpose of the day’s activities was to support the “Ability Center for Special Needs”, a non-profit organization that offers a special education to intellectually and physically challenged children. This year the event raised AED 209,703.00—which is almost double compared to last year.
The theme of the event was centered around a specially constructed fun village, where children enjoyed a variety of activities, ranging from games and entertainment, to face painting, fishing games in addition to a raffle for a stay in the Royal Suite of Beach Rotana and two AirFrance KLM flight tickets to Amstedam.
Mr. Jörg A. Hauri, General Manager at the Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi, expressed his genuine gratitude saying: “With the opportunities presented to us, Beach Rotana always grabs those that will pave the way for the happiness of the less fortunate ones. We therefore takes pride in organizing events to contribute funds to organizations such the Ability Centre for Special Needs. As this event is made yearly with much success, most especially the recent one in October 2011, we would like to convey our gratitude to all our sponsors, especially to Abdulla Al Masaood & Sons Group and to Mr. Ismail Matar.”
